Island View Cottage is a place to shrug off the stresses and strains of modern day living and luxuriate in the sights, sounds and smells of this unique corner of the north west Highlands. The large windows looking onto the sea provide an ever-changing view of the land/seascape where weather, marine life, coastal birds, fishing and pleasure boats and magnificent sunsets all combine to create a place of remarkable beauty.
The cottage is equipped for six adults but could easily accommodate one extra as it has a double room and a twin room upstairs and a family room with a double and a single bed downstairs. A bathroom is situated upstairs and a shower-room downstairs. The sitting room is at the front, providing views of the surrounding hills while the kitchen is situated at the back and overlooks the sea. The kitchen combines with the dining area to create a fairly sizeable room. Adjoining the kitchen is the sun-lounge off which is the back door leading down to the shingle beach which sweeps around the bay.
The bay is ideal for swimming, particularly between medium and high tide and the soft shingle is perfect for sunbathing as the tide goes out. It is also suitable for water sports like wind-surfing, canoeing, fishing etc. As we are surrounded by hills, the area also has something to offer visitors who enjoy hill walking or climbing.
There is private, off road parking for two cars.
